Saturday before last (February 20th) it was the annual Gala Nocturna in Antwerp. Bert and I go every year, and this year they moved it from the Chapel of Altena in Kontich to the St-Augustinus church in the middle of old town Antwerp. I have to say that was a big improvement. Don’t get me wrong, Altena was lovely, but small. And if you filled it to maximum capacity you had a great big problem because let’s be honest, one woman in an enormous hoop skirt counts for 3 when it comes to taking up room. And a LOT of women wore that kind of giant outfit to the event. At least this time there was _room_ to move around, which was awesome! And the St-Augustinus was gorgeous too. Well worth paying extra on this year’s ticket for in my opinion.
