Never get sick of this movie.
Great book, too. Even if Heinlein’s “The Puppetmasters” was first on the aliens taking over bodies scene. And at least “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” wasn’t turned into a train wreck movies starring a blandly handsome totally forgettable actor and a super strong 50s woman government agent character (thanks, Heinlein) turned into a 90s scientist who doesn’t do anything and yet has low self esteem. And has to be rescued by said blandly handsome man.
I hate when 40 years of progression leads to a less feminist character. So bitter about that.
Which is why I’ll take “Invasion“‘s moderately competent Becky. She at least doesn’t faint all over the place like Steve McQueen’s girl in “The Blob.”
